Sarah Pendarvis, age 86 of Gallatin, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2019.
Funeral Service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 3, in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home, with Bro. Jerry Peace officiating. Visitation will be from 2 – 8 p.m. on Saturday, February 2, and from 12 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 3. Interment will follow the service at Crestview Memory Gardens, with Brian Obendorfer, John Corlew, Jaedon Harrison, Rick Owen, Joseph McFarland, and Ricky Apple serving as pallbearers.
Mrs. Pendarvis was born September 18, 1932 in Hawkins County, Tennessee, to the late William Nelson and Matilda Simpson Nelson. In addition to her parents, she is
preceded in death by son, Larry Pendarvis; twin sister, Clara Nelson; sisters, Leona Bolin and Nellie Rose Gregg; and brothers, Opie Nelson, Henry Nelson, Paul Nelson, B. F. Nelson, and Sherman Nelson. She is survived by husband of 54 years, Maurice Pendarvis of Gallatin; daughter, Maria Pendarvis Corlew (John) of Castalian Springs; sisters, Ida Belle Moree of Gallatin and Ella Snoddy of Gallatin; grandchildren, Bethany Pendarvis-Obendorfer (Brian), Angel Pendarvis, and Jaedon Harrison; 4 great grandchildren, Ireland Bennett, Lincoln Obendorfer, Sterling Obendorfer, and Millie Ava Anglea; nieces, Deborah Bass and Pam Owen; and several additional nieces and nephews.
