Jerry Wayne Cox, age 70, of Gallatin, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2019.
Funeral Service will be at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home, with Bro. Jerry Peace officiating. Visitation will be from 2 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, and from 10:30 a.m. until time of service at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 10. Interment will follow the service at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery at 2 p.m., with military honors.
Mr. Cox was born August 16, 1948 in Sumner County, to the late Tommy Reese Cox, Sr. and Jewel Woodard Cox. He is survived by wife of 31 years, Lois Dean Alexander Cox of Gallatin; brother, Tommy R. Cox, Jr. (Shelia) of Gallatin; nieces, Stacey Lemons, Melody Glover, Joy Poor (Shannon); nephew, Tommy Cox III (Kayla); and several great nieces and nephews.
Jerry served his country in the United States Army. He retired from General Electric after more than 30 years of service.
