Carol Sue Shrum Roberts of Gallatin, passed away Thursday March 28, 2019.
Funeral Service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 6, in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home, with Pastor John McLendon officiating. There will be an Eastern Star Service. Visitation will be 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, April 5, and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 6. Entombment will follow the service at Hendersonville Memory Gardens Mausoleum, with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Pricilla Ellis; Dawn Elledge; Charlene Webster; Jerilee Davis; Betty Cantrell Cloyd; Jean McRae; Claudie Brown Wright; Vann Conder and family, friends from Volunteer State Community College; members, friends and pastors of God Why Church; pastors, staff, and friends of House of Grace; Shanna Jackson; staff and friends of Home Safe; members of Order of Eastern Star; Linette Tresler; and Demitres George.

Mrs. Roberts was born July 31, 1943, in Gallatin to the late Curtis Wiseman Shrum and Carrie Rill Owens Shrum. She is survived by husband of 55 years, Jerry Roberts of Gallatin; son, Jonathan Richard “Richie” Roberts of Gallatin; daughter, Christi Roberts Cook (Taylor) of Gallatin; godson, Patrick Link (Angela) of Murfreesboro; brothers, David Shrum (Annette) of Gallatin and Clay Shrum; sisters, Diana Green of Portland, Mickey McCullough (Roy) of Gallatin, Marla Cooke (Len) of Jacksonville, Florida; and one grandchild, Malone Roberts. Mrs. Roberts worked at Volunteer State Community College as an executive assistant for over 15 years. In addition, she along with her husband owned Creative Flower Shop for 25 years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
