The Gallatin Police Department in conjunction with the Sumner County Sheriff’s Department and Hendersonville Police Department will be conducting a campaign of aggressive and visible traffic enforcement and sobriety checkpoints on New Year’s Eve, Monday December 31.
The checkpoints will be held in the area of Nashville Pike, between Saundersville Road and Hunt Club Boulevard, between the hours of 10 p.m. and 2 p.m.
These checkpoints and Traffic Enforcement Blitz are an ongoing effort by the department and other law enforcement agencies to reduce traffic crashes and fatalities related to impaired driving.
The Gallatin Police Department encourages all drivers this holiday season to avoid drinking
and driving and to also avoid driving while distracted, keeping our roadways safe as we begin
the 2019 New Year.
