Nashville man, 19, jailed on kidnapping, armed robbery charges

A Nashville man was arrested Thursday afternoon in connection with an overnight armed robbery and kidnapping investigation in Hendersonville.

Lorenzo Butler, 19, of Nashville was booked into the Sumner County Jail charged with Aggravated Robbery and Aggravated Kidnapping and is being held on $300,000 bond.

Police described the sequence of events in a press release: “At approximately 2 a.m. on Jan. 31, Hendersonville Police responded to investigate a reported Armed Robbery and Kidnapping Incident in the Tiffany Lane area of Hendersonville. Investigation revealed a female resident of Tiffany Lane was held at gunpoint by an acquaintance
while being ordered around her residence and was then robbed.

“Hendersonville Detectives were able to locate and arrest the person responsible in Nashville roughly 12 hours after the incident was initially reported.”

The suspect, Lorenzo Butler, is scheduled to appear in the Sumner County General Sessions Court on March 13, 2019.
