Sumner County Tourism hosts the Softball Players Association’s (SPA) Twitty Senior Women’s National Invitational Tournament at Drakes Creek Park in Hendersonville, Tennessee, from Wednesday, May 16 – Sunday, May 20.
This is the 6th year that Sumner County Tourism has welcomed SPA to Hendersonville and the tournament includes players from all over the country.
“We are very excited to have SPA’s Twitty Senior Women’s softball tournament in Hendersonville again,” said Sumner County Tourism’s Executive Director Barry Young. “This year the organization has 33 teams from 15 different states and registered players range in age from 35-75+ for the Twitty tournament. Welcoming people from different places to Sumner County is always wonderful and provides a boost to the local economy as the tournament utilizes our hotels, dining establishments, retail businesses, and local attractions.”
Sumner County Tourism will be on-site at Drakes Creek Park providing hospitality to umpires and coaches, and passing out information to visitors about Sumner County. Local Hendersonville businesses also showed their Tennessee hospitality by making donations and/or providing discounts for the tournament; participating Hendersonville businesses include:

The public is welcome at SPA’s Twitty Senior Women’s National Invitational Tournament and there is no admission fee to attend. Games run on Thursday from 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m.; Friday from 9 a.m.-7:30 p.m.; Saturday from 8 a.m.-8 p.m.; and Sunday from 8 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
