Portland PD arrest one in home invasion, request assistance identifying second suspect

Officers with Portland Police Department arrested an 18 year old after responding to a report of a home invasion on Donoho Drive the evening of Wednesday, Jan. 3.

The victim told police that two men entered his home and demanded both medication and the PIN number for a cellphone that was previously taken from him. He said one of the men had a handgun.

Police said the victim was struck in the back with a hammer when he did not comply with the suspects’ requests. He was transported to a local hospital via ambulance and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The suspects are believed to have taken property from the home before fleeing.

 

Police later arrested one suspect. Nikota Majano, 18, was booked into Sumner County Jail on one count of especially aggravated robbery. Majano is scheduled to appear in Sumner County General Sessions Court Jan. 24.

Police are still working to identify the second suspect. He has been identified as a 6’2 white male of average build.
