Memorial services for former Spring Hill football coach William Fisher Thursday

Memorial services for Spring Hill assistant football coach and teacher William Fisher are planned for 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 6, at the Huntingdon First United Methodist Church.

Dr. Timothy Atkins will officiate the service.

Fisher died Sunday morning of a possible heart attack.

Visitation will run from Wednesday, Sept. 5, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home in Huntingdon.

Fisher, 33, began his teaching career in 2008 after graduating from Middle Tennessee State University in 2007.

He both taught and coached football at Lewis County High School, Camden Central High School, West Carroll High School, and lastly, at Spring Hill High School, where he taught history.

Born in Jacksonville on September 26, 1984, Fisher is survived by his mother, Susan McCormick, and his father, Keith Fisher, as well as his two sisters, Lindsey Fisher Johnson and Paige Fisher.

In lieu of flowers, the family is recommending donations to the Coach Will Fisher Scholarship Fund, held at the Carroll Bank and Trust in Huntingdon.
