Shortly after 4 a.m. on November 6, 2018, Hendersonville Police responded to a burglary in progress at the Walgreens store located at 365 New Shackle Island Road in Hendersonville.
The person responsible had cut a hole through an outer brick wall of the store to make entry and then cut through two additional interior walls to access the pharmacy before fleeing the area after an alarm activation.
Investigation by police resulted in the identification of a suspect, Michael Bandy (age 50) of Lafayette, Tennessee, who was taken into custody by police on November 7, 2018. Michael Bandy is charged with Burglary and Vandalism over $2,500. He is being held in the Sumner County Jail on $5,000 bond and is set to appear before the Sumner County General Sessions Court on December 12, 2018.
