Hendersonville Parks and Recreation prepares for low temperatures, closing public restrooms, water fountains

Hendersonville Parks and Recreation has winterized several restroom facilities and all water fountains to prevent pipes from freezing and bursting.

All public restrooms without heat will be closed until temperatures rise in the spring.

The following facilities do have heat and will be open daily from sunrise until nightfall:

Drakes Creek Park:
Football restrooms (near the football field)
Baseball quad (middle of fields six through nine)
The building beside the creek at the beginning of the soccer fields
Back soccer restrooms (closest to soccer field 10)

Memorial Park:
Tennis court restrooms (attached to the tennis office)

Veterans Park:
Inline hockey trailhead (beside the inline hockey rinks)

Non-heated restrooms cannot be used during the winter months because there is no way to keep pipes warm as the temperatures drop at night.
