Dvaidson Academy’s Hewitt named Mr. Football finalist

Da’Joun Hewitt, a junior at Davidson Academy, was announced as a Tennessee Titans Mr. Football finalist on Monday.

The Bears averaged 48.1 points per game in the regular season and won all 10 contests by an average of 35.9 points.

Hewitt finished the regular season with 1,905 rushing yards and 36 touchdowns, finishing with at least 145 yards in each of the Bears’ last six games. Hewitt has four 200-yard games this season and scored at least three touchdowns in eight games.

Three finalists were announced for each classification and the Kicker of the Year Category. The finalists for each award will be invited to attend the awards luncheon at Nissan Stadium on Nov. 27.
