The American Lung Association in Tennessee is hosting its annual Fight for Air Climb from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 17.
This event challenges participants to climb the 29 floors, or 638 steps inside the Fifth Third Center in downtown Nashville. Registration is $25 if purchased before Jan. 1, 2018. After Jan. 1, registration goes up to $35 a person. There’s also a required $100 fundraising minimum to climb.
This event attracts athletes of all levels, firefighters and anyone interested in helping us raise awareness and funds for lung health.
According to the American Lung Association, lung cancer is the leading cause of death for both men and women, surpassing breast cancer in 1987. More than 33 million Americans are currently living with lung disease. Young or old, smoker or not, lung disease can happen to anyone at any time.
All proceeds from this event directly fund Tennessee’s local programs and research grants.
