Gallatin’s free summer concert series, Third Thursday on Main, returns tonight to the historic square in downtown Gallatin.
Michael Ryan Vance will take to the stage at 6:30 p.m.
The concerts are held the third Thursday of each month from June through September. This is an
opportunity for residents to come out and visit the local businesses on the square and hear great music.
A huge crowd turned out last month for the opening concert series with the Parks.
According to Donna Belote, executive director of Greater Gallatin, this year’s lineup with feature
different genres of music.
“We’re really excited about the lineup this year,” Belote said. “We have some really great talent from
different genres of music. This year we have something for almost everyone.”
The South Street Players will perform Classic Rock favorites on August 16. On September 20, Off Da Hook will hit the stage to wrap up the 2018 concert series.
Each concert begins at 6:30 p.m. and finishes around 9:30 p.m. Concert goers are encouraged to bring their own chairs as a limited amount of seating is available.
Restaurants will be open on the square serving food and alcohol as attendees are encouraged to support the local businesses.
The 3rd Thursday is presented by local State Farm Insurance Agents Jeannie Gregory, Craig Hayes,
Anna Stephens, and Matthew Thomson.
Free Parking is available in the City Hall parking lot at 118 West Main Street and behind the Gallatin
Public Library, which is located at 123 East Main Street.
