On Tuesday, US Tsubaki Automotive Portland held an official groundbreaking ceremony for their new facility in Portland.
The 250,000-square-foot facility of manufacturing and office space will be located at 250 Kirby Drive.
Portland Mayor Ken Wilber says he’s excited about the new expansion.
“They’ve been a long-term industry partner here in Portland since the 1980s,” Wilber said. “We’re excited for them to stay in Portland and build a new facility here.”
The completion of the new building is scheduled for June of 2019 creating 70 new jobs.
“Anytime an industry does well and can create new jobs is a good thing,” Wilber added.
Bowling Green, Kentucky Contractors Scott, Murphy, & Daniel have been chosen to complete the project.
